Margaret River
Organic Garden
A 'Garden Park' in the heart of town!
Be A Volunteer
The maintenance and organic preservation of the garden has been made possible by grants, community donations, fundraising and a team of volunteers. There is always a call for new members to join our friendly team of workers, who meet each Wednesday at 1:00pm and have a chat before launching into an afternoon of gardening activity.
If you can spare an afternoon or even a few hours to help - please do come along and be warmly welcomed into our fold.
The age and the background of our volunteers is varied. The amount of time we each donate is determined by our own availability and personal preferences.
There are no strict rosters and most of us work at the tasks we prefer. Determined by the seasons, volunteers undertake planting, weeding and garden maintenance. However, from time to time we all focus on a joint task. Some of us attend every week, while others attend intermittently or even rarely, when personal, family, or business commitments allow.
Our volunteers are a very friendly and welcoming group.
Why not come along and try us out? Just turn up and say hello!
Volunteer time commitment is small.

The not-for-profit organisation which looks after the Organic Garden is the Margaret River Organic Garden, Inc. Committee meetings are generally held on the last Wednesday of each month, mainly for planning and discussion of new ideas.
